Creative with Biowaste - MDT PLUS - Individual Group

As part of the MDT Plus program, we hosted "Creatief met Bioafval" for a group of passionate and curious individual participants, all eager to explore sustainable making through hands-on experimentation. 🌿☕

Throughout a series of From Waste to Wonder workshops, participants dove deep into the world of coffee-ground bioplastic and other biobased materials. They explored how these materials behave, tested their possibilities, and learned how everyday waste can be transformed into functional and expressive objects. From early material experiments to designing and 3D-printing their own molds, the process encouraged both creative freedom and technical learning.

What made this group especially inspiring was the personal nature of the outcomes. Each participant created a unique household object—ranging from practical items to sculptural designs—each reflecting their own story, curiosity, and design perspective. The workshops offered space for experimentation, reflection, and discovery, showing how sustainability and creativity naturally come together when people are given the tools to explore.
